Synopsis

Lightning McQueen, a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. En route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town's offbeat characters - including Doc Hudson, Sally Carrera, and Mater - who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame, and sponsorship.

DVD Sales: New Releases Are Assassinated

July 19th, 2011

New releases were dead on arrival on this week's DVD sales chart. None reached the top five, while only three reached the top 30. This left Sucker Punch in top spot, but with only 105,000 units / $1.58 million units for the week giving it totals of 381,000 units / $5.71 million after two. More...

DVD Sales: Deathly Helps Bring Life to DVD Sales

April 26th, 2011

Despite coming on out on Friday, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I easily won the race on the DVD sales chart this week defeating new releases and holdovers alike. It sold 2.66 million units for total sales of $37.55 million. It will be interesting to see how well it holds up during its first full week of release. More...

DVD and Blu-ray Releases for April 12th, 2011

April 11th, 2011

The quality of first-run releases coming out on Tuesday is pretty low, but on this week's list we have The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which came out last Friday, and The Deathly Hallows: Part I, which comes out this Friday. Besides those two releases, the only other potential big seller is The Incredibles on Blu-ray. I don't think that will top the sales, but it should do well on the Blu-ray sales chart and it is this week's Pick of the Week. More...

DVD Releases for November 10th, 2009 - Part I

November 9th, 2009

We are getting closer to the Thanksgiving long weekend and the official start of the holiday shopping season. Because of this, there are plenty of great releases coming out this week, including Up on a 4-Disc Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack, which is clearly DVD Pick of the Week material. Also a DVD Pick of the Week is Monsters, Inc. - 4-Disc Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack, while the late arriving Monsters vs. Aliens - Blu-ray earns an honorable mention. With a massive list of releases, including nearly a dozen spotlight reviews, we have once again needed to split the release report into two parts. The second part can be found here. More...

2007 - Holiday Gift Guide - Part I

December 2nd, 2007

It's the first of December. (At least it was when I was writing this intro the first time. I was only going to do a dozen or so releases, but the list ballooned well out of control.) This week kicks off our second annual Holiday Gift Guide with a look at some high definition releases, because nothing says holidays like a format war. More...

DVD Releases for November 6, 2007 - Part 2

November 6th, 2007

Now that Halloween is over, the Christmas shopping season has (un)officially started and there is a flood of DVDs coming out this week, so much so that we again had to split the list into two parts. (And looking at next week's list, we might have to do it again.) Despite this long list, it was an easy choice for DVD Pick of the Week: Cars - Blu-Ray Release. Although when the other two Blu-Ray Pixar screeners show up, I might have to revise that choice. More...

November 20th, 2006

It's the Thanksgiving long weekend and we have a lot to give thanks for. Mainly the B.C. Lions winning the Grey Cup. To celebrate, our box office prediction contest will feature two movies. First, there's the new Denzel Washington film, Deja Vu, and second there's the new Tony Scott movie, Deja Vu. In order to win, one must simply predict the opening weekend box office of either Deja Vu. Whoever comes the closest to predicting the film's opening 3-day weekend (Friday to Sunday), without going over, will win Cars on DVD. Meanwhile, the person who comes the closest to the film's opening 3-day weekend (Friday to Sunday), without going under, will win Accepted on DVD. Important note: the movie opens on Wednesday, but we are only using the Friday to Sunday box office. Entries must be received by 10 a.m., Pacific Time on Thursday to be eligible, so don't delay! DVD Releases for November 7, 2006

November 6th, 2006

It's the first week of the month, and like usual, it's a busy, busy week. But while there are plenty of DVDs coming out tomorrow, the list if first-run releases is weak and the recent limited releases didn't really pick up the slack (although Wordplay - Buy from Amazon was the best of that list). This means when it came to DVD Pick of the Week we have to go back, sometimes way back. The most recent is Grosse Pointe - The Complete Series - Buy from Amazon while fellow TV on DVD release, Police Squad! The Complete Series - Buy from Amazon, is also in up there. For movies we have The Transformers - The Movie - 20th Anniversary Special Edition - Buy from Amazon and the two box sets James Bond - Ultimate Collection - Volume 1 and Volume 2. I'm not going to choose just one, but I'm thinking of not picking up the Bond sets until next month when I can get the whole collection at once. More...

October 22nd, 2006

The German soccer film, Deutschland. Ein Sommermarchen, remained in first place in Germany and sixth overall this weekend. It managed this feat by falling just 25% to $5.41 million on 671 screens for a two-week total of $14.67 million. More...

International Details - Marching to the Top

October 15th, 2006

The German Film, Deutschland. Ein Sommermarchen, which could translate into English as Germany, A Summer March, but I wouldn't bet money on it. ... Moving on, The film took top spot in its native market with $7.19 million on 584 screens and that was enough for sixth place overall. More...

International Top Five - Sweet Smell of Success

September 27th, 2006

The German film, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, was the surprise winner at the international box office, taking in $10.79 million on 1,600 screens in 6 markets for a total of $31.62 million. Its best market remained Germany where it was down just 32% to $6.72 million on 773 screens; that was half the total box office in Germany, more than four times its nearest competition, and enough to lift its running tally in the market to $20.22 million. The film also managed to top $1 million during its second weekend in Russia (first place with $1.59 million on 310 screens for a $6.43 million total), and in its debut in Italy (third place with $1.05 million on 335). The film opens in France next weekend, in Spain at the end of November and in the U.K. at the beginning of December. One must assume the studio is happy with its run so far. However, with a production budget of 50 million Euros (about $65 million American), it is the most expensive German film ever and will need a strong run in several non-German speaking markets to show a profit. International Top Five - Pirates Propelled to the Top

September 20th, 2006

A record-breaking opening in Italy pushed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest into first place for the tenth time in 11 weeks. The film easily finished first with $9.49 million on 877 screens over the weekend and $12.13 million in total, which was more than six times what its nearest competition earned. That was the majority of the film's $18.39 million weekend haul, a haul that was earned on 4361 screens in 42 markets and that pushed its international total to $613.26 million. This made Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest just the sixth film to cross the $600 million mark internationally and by the end of the weekend put it ahead of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for fifth place on the all-time chart. More...

International Top Five - Cars Captures the Checkered Flag

September 13th, 2006

For the first time in 10 weeks we have a new winner atop the international box office with Cars finally overtaking Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest to win the prize. The Pixar powerhouse spent its first weekend on top of the international charts with $8.00 million on 3,704 screens in 31 markets for a total of $184.24 million. Its biggest market was Germany where it topped the charts with $3.05 million on 814 screens; this was more than three times what its nearest competitor earned, but less than a quarter of what Finding Nemo opened with back in 2003. The film only has two other openings of note, Greece and Turkey, and they both happen this weekend. More...

International Top Five - Pirates Close in on $1 Billion

September 6th, 2006

Last weekend I assumed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest's time on top of the international charts was over. It had no new openings, the competition was getting tighter and it just seemed like its time was done. However, when the numbers came in the film easily won the weekend race as it was the only film able to top $10 million over the weekend. The Pirate pic pulled in $11.99 million on 5378 screens in 43 markets for an international total of $581.55 million while its worldwide was $994.43 million as of Sunday. The film should become only the third film to reach $1 billion worldwide and could do so as early as Thursday. After that there are a few milestones the film will be aiming for like $600 million internationally, which it should have no trouble doing especially with the film opening in Italy on the 15th. International Top Five - Eight is Enough for Pirates

August 30th, 2006

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest earned yet another record this weekend by topping the international charts for the eighth straight weekend surpassing the old record of seven set by Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. This weekend the swashbuckler took in $18.61 million on 6579 screens in 49 markets lifting its international total to $556.07 million and its worldwide haul to $963.61 million. Looking at the all-time charts, the film is now eighth place and should top Jurassic Park by this time next week while worldwide it is in fourth place all-time and should have no trouble tracking down Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone during the weekend. This weekend the film managed to set a record in Greece opening with $2.6 million while it took in $100,000 in Lebanon for the highest opening of the year in that market. Next week the film will likely fall out of top spot but should continue to perform well as it wraps up its International run in Italy on the 15th of September. More...

International Details - House hasn't become a Monster Hit

August 28th, 2006

Monster House climbed one spot to sixth with $4.48 million on 1498 screens in 14 markets for total of $20.33 million at the international box office. The film added two more midlevel markets but bombed in both. In the Netherlands the film missed the top ten with $89,000 on 65 screens over the weekend and $100,000 in total while it was only slightly better in Poland earning sixth place with $71,000 on 48 screens. Holdovers, on the other hand, were better than expected with the film down a mere 16% during its second weekend in the U.K. with $1.61 million on 425 screens for a total of $5.83 million. More...

International Top Five - Pirates Pound Competition into Submission

August 2nd, 2006

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest may have lost its box office crown domestically, but it is still rules the international markets. This week it earned $55.34 million while playing on 7,610 screens in 44 markets, lifting its totals to $301.90 million internationally and $660.39 million worldwide. After the weekend it was sitting in 40th place on the international charts and 26th worldwide. The film opened in first place in Germany with an outstanding $17.34 million on 1,330 screens while Curse of the Black Pearl re-entered the charts in fifth place with just over $500,000. The film also had million dollar openings in Austria at $2.8 million on 105 screens, Belgium at $2.06 million on 127, and Switzerland at $1.57 million on 101. Meanwhile, the film was down a jaw-dropping 64% in its second weekend in Japan, earning a still impressive $6.11 million on 764 screens for a total of $32.44 million after just two weeks. The reason for this steep, nearly vertical drop-off is simple, the Japanese hate cliffhanger endings in movies. They like movies that are individual units and if they feel the film is just a two-hour setup to the next installment, it will suffer at the box office. More...

International Top Five - Pirates Reach Major Milestone

July 26th, 2006

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest added another 10 markets to its international run as it again top the charts with $60.10 million on 6079 screens for a total of $214.10 million internationally. The film became the fifth film of the year to earn $200 million internationally and the third to cross $500 million worldwide. Among the host of number one openings this week were Japan at $16.65 million on 761 screens and Mexico with $5.67 million on 791 screens. Other impressive debuts include Brazil, ($3.1 million), Argentina ($1.3 million), Poland ($1.17 million), and Chile ($1.1 million). Its biggest market overall continues to be the U.K. where it added $7.19 million on 520 screens to its running tally of $58.48 million while it has topped $20 million on both Australia, ($21.68), and Russia, ($20.51). The film opens in Germany, France, and Spain in consecutive weekends before closing its international run with its Italian debut in September. More...

International Top Five - Pirates' Extend International Reach

July 19th, 2006

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest opened in another 17 markets over the weekend taking first place in all of them while adding $58 million on 3,336 screens. This gave it a two-week international total of $125 million and helped it become the seventh film this year to top $100 million internationally. The film's best opening of the week was in Russia where it captured 85% of the market while scoring a record-breaking $9.24 million on 552 screens over the weekend and $10.87 million in total. It also broke records in a trio of smaller markets: Singapore with $1.8 million on 65 screens, Malaysia with $1.1 million on 70 and in the Ukraine with $1 million on 125. Other multi-million dollar openings were Sweden, ($3.49 million on 127), Denmark, ($2.58 million on 85), and Netherlands, ($2.22 million on 132). Holdovers remained strong led by the U.K. at $11.14 million on 514 screens for a total of $49.23 million, but that was down 47% from its opening. On the other hand, the film was down just 32% in South Korea to $3.84 million on 396 screens over the weekend and $13.55 million in total and 37% in Australia to $5.31 million on 490 screens for a two-week total of $17.32 million. Men, Dupree are Not So Little while Pirates Procure more Plunder

July 17th, 2006

The news was mostly good over the weekend with practically every film in the top five beating expectations, and the only one that didn't, Pirates of the Caribbean, missing by a rounding error. However, the overall box office was still down a huge 27% from last weekend to $159 million. More significantly, it was down 4% from the same weekend last year breaking 2006's eight-week winning streak. Even so, strong midweek numbers allowed 2006 to stretch its lead over 2005 to a very healthy 6%. More...

International Top Five - Pirates Rule International Waters

July 12th, 2006

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest started its international run with day-and-date releases in seven markets and on 1552 screens earning an astounding $46.64 million. Over half of that total came from the U.K. where it debuted in first place with $21.21 million on 514 screens over the weekend and $25.41 million in total. That was the film's only 8-figure opening, but it also did well in Australia with $8.33 million on 489 screens and New Zealand with $1.17 million on 95 screens. The film set a record for top opening for a Hollywood film in South Korea with $8.4 million on 450 screens while topping the market in Taiwan with $1.9 million on 18, Thailand with $1.4 million on 110, and an estimated $100,000 in Uruguay. In most markets the film earned double what its predecessor made. However, if one were to look for a downside, you'd quickly notice that the film didn't break nearly as many records internationally as it did domestically. It was a top ten all-time opening in many markets, but not the colossal it was here. More...

Avast Ye Maties, Pirates Invade Record Book. Arrrr!

July 10th, 2006

We finally had a blockbuster live up to, and exceed its expectations. And with the record-destroying run of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest the total box office exploded to nearly $220 million, which was up 42% from last year and more than 46% from the same weekend last year. This total is the largest ever for a weekend breaking the previous record of $188 million, which was earned in June of 2004 when Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban opened. And overall, 2006's lead over 2005 grew from 3% to 5%, easily more than ticket price inflation. More...

Can Pirates Gather Record Plunder?

July 6th, 2006

The latest "Sure Thing" openings tomorrow. But this Summer seven previous "Sure Things" have already come out and only one or two have actually lived up to expectations. Both The Da Vinci Code and X-Men: The Last Stand managed to do so, more or less, but with The Da Vinci Code my expectations were somewhat lower than the industry average and its final box office is still looked at as a disappointment by many. Will Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest break this trend, or will it be the latest victim in a summer of over-hyped misses? More...

International Top Five - Superman Lives Up to His Name Internationally

July 5th, 2006

Superman Returns started its staggered international release schedule with a first place, $22.13 million opening on 1779 screens in 11 markets. Highlights include a $3.88 million Australian debut on 409 screens and a $3.79 million debut on 355 screens in South Korea, ($5.00 million including Thursday). In both markets the film finished first. The rest of the markets were decidedly smaller, but the film still cracked $1 million in the Philippines with $2.58 million on 81, (while bringign in 90% of the market), Taiwan with $1.58 million on 151 screens, India with $1.49 million 274, Thailand with $1.47 million on 204, and Singapore with $1.16 million on 73. The film has no major openings this weekend and will slip to second with the debut of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, but the two should battle for supremacy over the coming weeks. Return is not so Super

July 5th, 2006

While we had one film missing expectations, and another beating them by nearly the same amount, for the most part, the weekend played out exactly as expected. Compared to last weekend, the $154 million made at the box office from Friday to Sunday was up 9.4%. More importantly, it was up 7.9% from the same weekend last year. (Comparing the 5-day weekend to last year is pointless since the holiday fell on a Monday last year.) Year-to-date, 2006 is 3% higher than 2005 while the summer pace is ahead by a smaller 1% margin. More...

Super Start to July 4th Long Weekend

June 28th, 2006

With this being the July 4th long weekend, several films are getting a jump on weekend rush, including what could become the biggest hit of the year. But there seems to be some signs of weakness in the man of steel. Will some cinematic kryptonite spoil Superman's return to theaters? More...

International Top Five - World Cup Kills Competition

June 28th, 2006

With the World Cup heating up, the vast majority of the world was focuses on the world of sports and movies were a distant second choice for entertainment. No film was able to top $10.0 million internationally over the weekend while number one openings in a handful of markets helped Poseidon top the charts. Over the weekend the film earned $8.90 million on 3982 screens in 46 markets for a total of $83.16 million. Its best debut came from Russia where it made $1.9 million on 371 screens over the weekend and $2.6 million in total while it took in $997,000 on 291 screens in Brazil. Other number one debuts include $378,000 on 60 screens over the weekend in Belgium, ($445,000 in total), and $255,000 on 134 in Turkey. The film has yet to opened in Germany, among other markets and should have no trouble reaching $100 million internationally, however, that isn't enough by a long shot. More...

Click Clicks with Moviegoers

June 26th, 2006

Overall, there were little in the way of surprises this weekend with no film beating or missing expectations by more than a few million dollars. But with no breakout hit, the overall box office slumped by 7.8% from last weekend to $140 million. This did represent an increase of 9.8% over the same weekend last year. More...

Changing Channels

June 22nd, 2006

The two releases coming out this week are almost exact opposites of each other. One is a mainstream, proto-blockbuster comedy / fantasy opening in nearly 4,000 theatres. The other is a gritty, violent film aimed at a more targeted audience and is barely opening in more than 1,000 theatres. The only this they really have in common is the critics' reaction, and that's not a good thing. More...

International Top Five - Mutants Make Their Move

June 21st, 2006

Openings in South Korea and Taiwan helped X-Men: The Last Stand climb into first place on the international charts with $14.64 million on 6271 screens in 57 markets for an international total of $180.81 million. (Which, like last week's international total, is another palindrome. What are the odds of that?) The film earned $5.9 million on 353 in South Korea and $1.4 million on 166 screens in Taiwan, finishing first in both markets. However, they were not the only results of note this week as the film dipped just 16% to $1.37 million on 459 screens over the weekend for a total of $32.16 million in total. At this point, even if the film didn't have any additional openings left, it would still cross the $200 million mark before its run was over. As it is, it has yet to open in both China and Japan and could earn more internationally than it did stateside. More...

Pixar Wrestles Crown from Jack Black

June 19th, 2006

Every film in the top five missed our Friday predictions this weekend and this led to a small 1.4% drop off from last weekend. Overall, box office was in $152 million. On the other hand, this was up by 11.6% from the same weekend last year. Strangely, even though the weekend numbers were better this year, the 2006 summer season still slipped behind last year's pace $1.19 billion to $1.34 billion. This was in part due to Batman Begins strong midweek opening. More...

Lightning McQueen vs. The Fast and the Furious

June 15th, 2006

There are enough new movies opening this weekend to cause a traffic jam, and none of them jump out as obvious box office smashes. Then again, they all have a legitimate shot at $20 million, and along with last week's winner, Cars we could see 5 films top $20 million over the weekend. The last time that happened was the weekend of June 11th, 2004 when the original Garfield opened. More...

International Top Five - Cup Crushes Competition

June 14th, 2006

The world's attention is focused on the World Cup, except for in the United States, which only has three days left till they are eliminated. This caused a huge drop in box office revenue in most markets, but The Da Vinci Code still led with a strong $22.05 million on 9889 screens in 65 markets for a total of $453.40 million on the international stage. That ranks it 16th internationally while its $640.28 million worldwide puts it ahead of The Passion of the Christ, among others, and into 27th place on the All Time Charts. The film is still leading in a few major markets including Germany at $1.29 million on 905 screens over the weekend and $41.69 million in total and Italy at $1.50 million on 645 screens for a total of $32.90 million. However, both those markets are also football-crazed, which led to drop-offs of 72% and 79% respectively. Its best market over the weekend and overall is Japan where it was down just 25% to $4.45 million on 767 screens for a total of $55.53 million after four weeks of release. More...

The Truths about Cars and Averages

June 13th, 2006

Cars not only won the overall box office title, but was one of only two films to top $10,000 on the per theatre charts this weekend earning $15,086. The other film was last week's winner, An Inconvenient Truth, which managed an average of $12,334 in 122 theatres during its third weekend of release. More...

Pixar Wins, but Victory not as Sweet as in Years Past

June 12th, 2006

The weekend went more or less according to plan. Cars won the box office crown with ease, but it just didn't quite earn as much as most had expected. This didn't hurt the overall box office too much as it reached $154 million, up 13.3% from last weekend and more importantly up 6.8% from the same weekend last year. This puts the summer box office even with last year while year-to-date 2006 is up by 3%. More...

Movie Website Updates for June 3rd - June 9

June 9th, 2006

It was a slow week it terms of major updates and that allowed the Fanboy in me to grant The Transformers - Official Site the gloriously premature Weekly Website Award. Let's hope the full site lives up to this title. More...

Pixar Running on Empty?

June 8th, 2006

Movie analysts are holding their breath to see if Cars will be the first misstep from Pixar. It is true that the film is earning much weaker reviews than the company has averaged, but it still should be a massive box office hit. More...

Ominous Start

June 6th, 2006

We have a very rare Tuesday opening this week as The Omen debuts in more than 2600 theatres tonight. The strategy is simple, take advantage of the 6/6/6 date, but will this work or has the studio made a terrible miscalculation? More...

Contest - Cruising to Victory

June 5th, 2006

Our contest this week has a slight twist with two copies of the same prize up for grabs and a bonus prize as well. Whoever comes closest to predicting the opening 3-day weekend (Friday to Sunday), without going over, will win the first copy of the CD while the person who closest to predicting the opening 3-day weekend (Friday to Sunday), without going under, will win the second. Also, whoever of those two people are closest will win a bonus prize, a copy of Fried Green Tomatoes - Extended Anniversary Edition on DVD. Movie Website Updates for May 27 - June 2

June 2nd, 2006

There were a few major updates for a few major movie sites this week, and it was one such site that walked away with the Weekly Website Award - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - Official Site. More...

2006 Preview: June

June 1st, 2006

May might have gotten off to a slow start, but it sure made up for it in the end. June looks to keep up the fast pace, but out of the dozen or so movies opening wide this month, only two look like they have to potential to be monster hits and after that there is a huge drop-off in box office potential. There are a few others that should earn their keep, and maybe one or two that will surprise, but most look average at best. More...

Movie Website Updates for May 20 - May 26

May 26th, 2006

Not much this week in terms of new sites or updates and all the ones that are award-worthy have already won the weekly website award. The best of the rest is The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - Official Site, but it certainly doesn't deserve to win the awards. More...

Movie Website Updates for May 6 - May 12

May 12th, 2006

There's a better than average selection on this week's list, but for the vast majority of the sites, there are only minor changes. The best of the bunch is Click - Official Site but there are a several other sites on this week's list that are just a update or two away from being an award winning site. More...

Movie Website Updates for April 29 - May 5

May 5th, 2006

It was not a great week when it comes to new websites with most of the really interesting updates coming in the form of new trailers. However, it was one of those sites, Casino Royale - Official Site, that was awarded the Weekly Website Award. I just hope when the site goes live in two weeks by Fanboy enthusiasm is rewarded. More...

Movie Website Updates for April 21 - April 28

April 28th, 2006

The first of the new Friday edition Weekly Website Review column is here, but not without a hitch. We had a bit of a power outage early in the day so I did what any modern man would do when faced with the prospects of going without the Internet for an undetermined amount of time, I took a nap. Fortunately, I was mostly done before the power went out so there was no real affect on this week's list, but I am starting to this that this column is cursed. As for the list, its pretty average with the best of the bunch being A Scanner Darkly - Official Site. More...

Movie Website Updates for April 14 - April 20

April 20th, 2006

Another slow week and either I've lost my mojo for finding new and updated sites, or this is the calm before the storm that is the summer box office season. And speaking of Storm, the best of the bunch this week is X-Men: The Last Stand - Official Site. More...

Movie Website Updates for April 7 - April 13

April 13th, 2006

Back to normal levels of traffic on this list, but like last week there's not an over abundance of huge sites on this week's list. I hope that changes soon as the summer box office season is just around the corner. The best of the bunch this week is Hard Candy - Official Site, which has been slowly growing for months. More...

Movie Website Updates for March 24 - March 30

March 30th, 2006

Another week with less sites than I would have liked. (On a side note, it seems every time something weird happens it happens on a Thursday. This time its slight internet connection problems / memory leak. I think. Whatever it is, it's causing my computer to act really slowly.) This shorter list doesn't mean there isn't an award-worthy site and the best of the best is Over the Hedge - Official Site. More...

Movie Website Updates for March 17 - March 23

March 23rd, 2006

This week's list is shorter than expected, but at least there's a site that clearly deserves to be the winner of the Weekly Website award: The Inside Man - Official Site. More...

Movie Website Updates for March 10 - March 16

March 16th, 2006

Pretty average week with all best sites being previous award winners. The best of the rest was Silent Hill - Official Site, and even though this week's update wasn't huge, it was enough to make the overall site award-worthy. More...

Movie Website Updates for March 3 - March 9

March 9th, 2006

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. This week's winner was one of last week's best sites, She's the Man - Official Site, which added a lot of content this week including some old stuff that was off site for previous weeks. More...

Movie Website Updates for November 26 - December 8

December 8th, 2005

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. Despite being there being two weeks between updates, this was not a very strong week. Sure, there were plenty of websites updated, but not a lot that really stood out as being award worthy. In the end it was Clerks 2: The Passion of the Clerks - Official Site that was the best of the bunch and hopefully it will continue to grow and earn that award. More...

Movie Website Updates for August 12 - August 18

August 18th, 2005

During the past week promotional websites for several movies were launched and some older ones added additional content. Here the list of this week's releases, a couple of new sites and few updates, including this week's winner, Into the Blue - Official Site. More...
