Good site with all the usual features, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, trailer), as well as extras like clips from the soundtrack and a couple of games. Add in enough sound and animated and the site stands out, but not enough to be an award winner.
The flash site is up and it has a very unique format. To find the content up must perform an autopsy on the alien. So far the regular features are there, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, image gallery, and the trailer), as are two games, Blag and Bowling. It will be interesting to see what the last game is about, as well as whether or not will be the site used for the North American release.
New intro, but no new content.
The trailer was added to the site just the time for tomorrow's opening.
There's a new trailer over on Apple.com and I have to say it is a whole lot better than the old one. I'm still not entirely sold, but it could be good.
Sally is now in the showroom.
Two more clips were added this week upping to total number to 54.
So far the site has a synopsis of sorts, image gallery, trailer and a message board that is not very busy.
The flash site is up but outside the usual features, (synopsis, cast & crew bios, image gallery, and trailer), there's not much here to see. The most unique feature are the character bios. It's simple, it's effective, but it is not award worthy.
The flash site finally worked for me, and it was worth the wait. There's the usual features of course, synopsis, cast & crew bios, production notes, image gallery and trailer. Also, there are a number of extra, mostly in the form of video clips such as 5 TV spots, 6 clips and an amazing 30 interview clips with 8 members of the cast & crew. There's also the Enhanced Experience trailer, which is the full trailer interspersed with clips from the film. Finally, there are two extras, (Hostage Crisis Simulator and History's Greatest Heists), both of which are currently marked coming soon. I'll check back later in the day to see if they were added. If they are, and they are of high enough quality, then this could very well be the best site on this week's list. Just checked and the Hostage Crisis Simulator has been added. It's not bad, but there's no real branching in the six questions. Even so, the site is still the best on this week's list and the winner of the felonious Weekly Website Award.
A couple of interesting updates, neither of which appear on the site. Firstly, there is an charity auction over on E-Bay to buy the LarryMobile. Secondly, there are three more clips that can be found here, here, and here.
The site has a new look, but outside the synopsis and the trailer, there's no real content.
The first of 8 video journals were added to the site. Look for about one update a week from now till the movie opens, hopefully. They could also wait a month or two before trying to squeeze in several updates at once, but that would be a mistake.
Downloads featuring some of the creepier characters were added to the site.
Greetings from Wheelsey was added to the site, only now it's called Slug Your Friends. It's you average e-card.
The movie opens tomorrow and the cast & crew bios and the production notes are still marked coming soon. The most unusual feature of the site is the interactive tour of the house, but it is not interactive enough, nor long enough, to be truly effective.
The site as a new look for tomorrow's North American release. This site as all the usual features and a style that really works for it. I really like background music, but given the subject matter, it's not surprising that the music rocks.
Most of the usual features are here, (minus the bios), as well as a bit of sound and animation. Enough to not be boring, but not enough to stand out in a crowded field. One last note, I really like the song used for background music.
The featurette was added to the interview section. Two updates in two weeks, does this mean the release date nears?
