Synopsis
For the last 40 years, the photographer Sebastião Salgado has been travelling through the continents, in the footsteps of an ever-
changing humanity. He has witnessed some of the major events of our recent history; international conflicts, starvation and exodus. He is now embarking on the discovery of pristine territories, of wild fauna and flora, and of grandiose landscapes as part of a huge photographic project, which is a tribute to the planet’s beauty. Sebastião Salgado’s life and work are revealed to us by his son, Juliano, who went with him during his last travels, and by Wim Wenders, himself a photographer.

It is both a good and a bad week on the home market. The biggest new release is Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. That's bad. However, there are also a trio of limited releases coming out this week that are easily contenders for Pick of the Week: Clouds of Sils Maria, Ex Machina, and It Follows. It is really a coin-toss between those three, but in the end, I went with Clouds of Sils Maria - Buy from Amazon: DVD.

In the Name of my Daughter rose to the first place on the per theater chart with an average of $20,069 in four theaters. I'll See You in My Dreams saw its theater count expand to 26 while its average was mostly flat down to $14,593. The best new release was When Marnie Was There, which earned an average of $13,695 in two theaters. This is great for an animated film in limited release.

While We're Young has set a new record for 2015 earning the best per theater average for a film that opened in 2015 with an average of $56,922 in four theaters. The most negative thing you can say about this result was that it wasn't that unexpected, as several Noah Baumbach films have earned similar opening weekend per theaters averages. Up next was the first of two wide releases in the $10,000 club, Home, with an average of $14,053. The Salt of the Earth earned an average of $11,234 in four theaters. This is excellent for a documentary. The final film in the $10,000 club was the second wide release on this week's list, Get Hard, which pulled in an average of $10,647.
