There are three wide releases opening next weekend, one of which is estimated to open in 3,000 theaters. That film is What's Your Number?, which may or may not be the number one film next weekend. What I can tell you is that it is the target film in this week's box office prediction contest. In order to win, one must simply predict the opening weekend box office number for What's Your Number?.
Whoever comes the closest to predicting the film's opening 3-day weekend box office (Friday to Sunday), without going over, will win a copy of Ferris Bueller's Day Off on Blu-ray.
Whoever comes the closest to predicting the film's opening 3-day weekend box office (Friday to Sunday), without going under, will win a copy of Four Weddings and a Funeral on Blu-ray.
Finally, one additional entrant will be chosen and they will win a copy of Overboard on DVD.
Entries must be received by 10 a.m., Pacific Time on Friday to be eligible, so don't delay!

It's not a particularly strong week on the home market with only two first-run releases of note. Coincidentally, I'm waiting on screeners for both Rio and Soul Surfer. While both are likely worth checking out at the least, the latter's Blu-ray / DVD Combo Pack is the best bet for Pick of the Week. Normally I'd like to wait till the screener arrives before handing out that honor, but there is a pretty big gap between first and second place this time around.

I'm combining the Blu-ray reviews for Better Off Dead and Ferris Bueller's Day Off for a number reasons. They were originally released in theaters less than a year apart, are coming out on Blu-ray the same day, they are both being released by the same studio, and I previously reviewed Ferris Bueller's Day Off, so that review will be rather short. Another similarity... they've both been released on DVD a number of times.

Because some of our sources provide box office data in their local currency, while we use USD in the graph above and table below, exchange rate fluctuations can have effect on the data causing stronger increases or even decreases of the cumulative box office.
