Synopsis
“Cold War”, the code-name for the rescue operation of five hijacked police officers, is deemed a partial success. Despite
political outcry, the potent rescue led by Acting Police Commissioner Sean Lau gains him promotion to the highest rank in the police force, yet causes Deputy Police Commissioner Waise Lee his reputable career. Joe Lee, son of Waise and the sole suspect of the conspiracy, is captured and taken into custody. The missing of the hi-tech police sprinter is still a misery.

By the time you read this, I might still be at the dentist. There are only two contenders for Pick of the Week, Jackie on Blu-ray and Moana on Blu-ray Combo Pack. It wasn’t particularly close and Moana is easily the Pick of the Week.

Cold War 2 opened in first place with $44.25 million in four markets over the weekend. Nearly all of its opening came from China, where it made $44.08 million over the weekend and $44.78 million, including previews. It also opened in the U.K. earning $128,000 in 14 theaters, which is great for a limited release there.

Captain Fantastic is the only film on this week’s list that I think will do well in theaters. There are some films that are earning better reviews, like Our Little Sister, but no film on this week’s list has the same buzz as this film does.
