Theater Averages: Animals are All-American Limited Release

American Animals easily topped the theater average chart earning an average of $33,698 in four theaters. The only other film in the $10,000 club was 2001: A Space Odyssey, which earned an average of $14,042 in five theaters during its third weekend of release.
The were not many other new limited releases, but like last weekend, none of them bombed. A Kid Like Jake did well with $8,936 in its lone theater. One Sings, The Other Doesn’t earned $6,700 in one theater during its first-weekend of re-release. Breath was the last limited release we got numbers for and it earned $5,258, again in one theater.
