Theater Averages: Logan is Lonely on Top with $21,717

Logan was the only film in the $10,000 club with an average of $21,717.
The best limited releases of the week was The Last Word, which earned an average $9,380 in 4 theaters. Ugetsu and The Freedom to Marry were neck-and-neck with $6,154 and $6,142. Both were playing in one theater. Tim Timmerman: Hope of America was next with an average of $4,217 in 12 theaters. Donald Cried was close behind with an average of $3,989 in two theaters. Junction 48 was also playing in two theaters earning an average of $2,758. Table 19 missed the Mendoza Line with an average of $1,841, but it was playing in nearly 900 theaters. Love and Taxes didn’t have that excuse, as it was only playing in one theater earning $1,698. Contemporary Color was even weaker with $1,451 over the weekend. However, it had a Wednesday opening and it earned $5,233 over five days.
