Christmas Fare makes for a Happy Holidays for IMAX
December 20, 2005
The Polar Express: The IMAX Experience as seen continued growth recently, popping above the $1 million mark this past weekend and lifting its total past $50 million on IMAX screens, including $5 million from this year's run.
Granted, it's not as strong as last year's run, but it's comfortably enough to make the film a yearly tradition.
Speaking of which, Santa vs. the Snowmen is in its fourth year of release now and is also showing strength. While it is not nearly as strong as it was before The Polar Express: IMAX Experience came along, it should still bring holiday cheer to the studio, and theatre owners.
