Movie Website Updates for December 16 - December 21, 2006
December 22, 2006
An abridged list with just the sites for movies opening this week, and maybe one or two others. Because it is such a short list, there's no real strong choice for Weekly Website Award. Rocky Balboa - Official Site comes the closest, but it doesn't quite get there.
Black Christmas - Official Site
Curse of the Golden Flower - Official Site
The Good Shephard - Official Site
Letters from Iwo Jima - Official Site
Night at the Museum - Official Site
No Restraint - Official Site
Ocean 13 - Official Site
The Painted Veil - Official Site
Rocky Balboa - Official Site
Snow Cake - Official Site
The Transformers - Official Site
Venus - Official Site
We Are... Marshall - Official Site
Words of my Perfect Teacher - Official Site
Just the basics, (and even then the image gallery is MIA), plus a clip from early in the movie. Doesn't sell the film very well, but I'm not a fan of these types of films, so I might not be the best person to judge that.
No real changes in a while, but it is still a good site.
Not much has changed since the site won the award.
Still nothing there.
A very fun site that was the best of last week's list.
Just the basics for a documentary site.
Just the teaser trailer, but I had to include the site as soon as it was online because I love heist movies so much.
All the features you would expect, (some of the bios are marked coming soon), but nothing in the way of extras. Also, I don't like the way the menu gets blurry when you move your mouse over it. Style should not get in the way of function.
This is a good site with all of the usual features and includes four clips from the movie. It also includes a lot of information from the franchise including clips from the movies, fans talking about their favorite scenes, trivia, and more. It sells the movie well, but I was expecting more. Perhaps a game, it is a boxing movie after all, and a game would have fit very well.
Not much of a site. More to find distributors than to sell to the public. You can find the trailer and a clip here.
The site was completely redone this week but the only real piece of new content is the second teaser trailer. This was almost enough to win the Weekly Website Award, again. But I was able to contain my inner geek.
They fixed the Peter O'Toole timeline so now it goes right from his education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1952 to Venus in 2006.
To generic to sell the movie. That makes sense since the film has been described as the same.
Mostly just the basics, but there are three songs from the movie and that was a nice touch.
