IMAX - Transformers Take on IMAX

The Transformers opened on IMAX screens over the weekend and pulled in $1.44 million over the weekend up against $474,000 the weekend before. Because of this, we can assume The Transformers earned roughly $1 million on IMAX screens over the weekend. Unfortunately, all we can do is assume since IMAX rarely releases numbers, usually when records are broken.
Speaking of breaking records, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix IMAX's run has reached $35 million worldwide including $24 million domestically. This figure is a record for a live-action Hollywood IMAX release.
Next up for IMAX is Beowulf, which debuts in November.
