Synopsis

Fallujah, Iraq, 2004, a U.S. Army infantry squad passes the time alternating between periods of tedium and extreme danger. When they aren’t interrogating locals, going on patrol or searching for weapons, they return to Dreamland — a former Baathist retreat that now serves as their barracks — and discuss why they enlisted and how they feel about their current surroundings. Gradually, the soldiers reflect on death and the mission, while uncertainly hangs over them.
