Synopsis
Blaze is an introverted 12-year-old girl who lives with her loving father in Sydney, content in her creative world. One afternoon she is walking home from the corner shop, when she happens upon Hannah, a woman she has never met before, being violently assaulted in a laneway. Blaze is paralysed by fear and unable to make sense of what she is seeing. Her gaze connects with Hannah's, before Jake leaves the woman broken and lifeless. Catatonic with shock, Blaze returns home where Zephyr, the giant shimmering dragon who has been her soul-mate since childhood, mourns for his girl.
